For the flared pipe joints, most of them are caused by excessive flare, quality is not required or disassembled many times, causing leakage due to flaring deformation or cracks. At this time, the front end can be cut off and re-expanded. If the male and female cones are used for sealing, the leakage is mostly due to the damage of the two tapered surfaces, and the tapered surface can be ground with abrasive sand.
In some cases where the "о" ring is sealed by the end face or the outer diameter, the ferrule joint leaks for the following reasons: "о" ring is aged or deformed to cause leakage; "о" ring assembly is not in place, so that When the plane is connected, the pressure is not flat or the "о" ring is cut to cause leakage; the "о" ring is not compacted, and the amount of elastic deformation is insufficient to cause leakage; the "о" ring is too deep to cause leakage. In this regard, it is necessary to re-select the "о" ring with the same outer diameter and thick section, or cut or grind the sealing plane with the groove to reduce the depth of the groove, so that "о" The ring has sufficient elastic deformation (the compression should generally be between 0.35 and 0.65 mm). For the leakage of pipe joints with oil-resistant rubber sheets, wool felts, mild steel cardboard, combination sealing gaskets or sealants, no matter what material, first check the seals of the ferrule joints for damage, deformation, aging and roughness. Wait for the situation and then take the appropriate action.
